Fitted an earth to it for safety as the kids use it and was using a three prong plug thats goes into an adapter. I even have in big red letters "Do not plug into wall" written on it

Just grabbed the wrong plug and pop.... Lovely burning component smell

Happens to the best of us mate, hopefully the machine is fine and it's just taken out the PSU.
Plenty of them floating around these days, someone is bound to have a spare

Had a search on ebay uk and .com but nothing atm.

I have found a number for a UK dealer and I will tryt them in the morning.

Check if it has a 120V line filter. If it does it might have clamped and popped a fuse, saving the rest of the PSU.

All fuses look ok unfortunately and I had that unmistakable Capacitor smell
