I just thought I'd post up a few pictures of my DK Jr now that it is just about finished...

I was thinking about sending off one of my spare boards to have the DDK mod done, but it's v.expensive sending it all the way to the US and A - I'm on the look out for just a DK board to put in there with DK Jr.

...or can anyone here do the DDK mod?

Guddler - no, it's not I asked Mike's Arcade about it and they flatly refused. I'm not surprised though, they charge a small fortune for it.

I'd be happy to pay the fee they were asking, but on top of that comes the postage to and from the US and I've just waited over 2 months for the bloody side art from America - so don't have much faith in the postal service at the moment...

I suppose it would be a major project to try and work out how they do it?

Are there DDK romsets available or is it actually 2 seperate romsets with a daughter board and special code?

Forgive my uneducated ramblings!

I can have a nose but I'm pretty sure that the two boards are different and the code from DKJr had been modified to run on DK hardware and vice versa. If that's the case then I wouldn't be able to help. If it was a case of using double size ROMs the I could help. But I'm 99.99% sure it's not.

On reading the details on Mike's Arcade, the mod can only be done on a junior board. I guess junior had the superior hardware and normal DK can not run junior?
