As I explained, I could guide you trough the procedure of modifying the eeprom image file so that you can test the 160 possible cases yourself.

It will take some time to test all those combinations out.

It wouldn't suprise me you want to let it rest for a while now.

You could contact the company again and sell your findings for their defective displays.

Well it's funny you should say that but I got offered a fully working display for £250! I refused and asked to borrow the eeprom to which he replied yes but for £100! he was not interested in the benefit of fixing the other displays by doing that. I guess they will never sell the displays as operators won't bother about them as long as the machines work they don't care!

Yes it's been a long slog and lots of thinking and educated guesses for you, I think I will just leave it as is and be happy it now works and looks great.
