Extracted all the vines onto seperate adjustment layers with masks so I have more freedom to makes changes.

I have integrated the top and bottom panel carfully and with consideration to the original art as much as possible.

I had added some green into the original top panel (right) in an attempt to get the two panels to feel connected . It isnt there in the new art scan so I have pulled some tan/ brown tones into the vines in the rework version, hopefully making them feel more connected to the top panel artwork (which is the driving force for all of this new work). Im really pleased with the new 'clarity' of the lower panel. The tan in the lower vines has been carefully added and the greeny/ gold highlights on the thorns from the dragons fire have been retained.

A quick comparison of the DLF version that suffers from massive over saturation. I have colour corrected the sky in the lower panel to be aligned with the colour temp and saturation of the top panel. The overall saturation reflects the original art and is digitally correct to the scan, the battle will be to get the output to match (this isnt CMYK yet so things will likely change a little and ill be shouting at the computer).

Quaterarcade version the the left, DLF version center, Rework and New Scan right.
And here is the full panel finished (before print setup).
