I've got a cab I will probably be listing soon, which has a working coin mech. I've seen listings before saying the coin mech has been disconnected to comply with ebay rules. Can someone please point me to the ebay rule this refers to. I know I can simply disconnect the mech (or just say in the listing I have), but just curious to find out about this rule when selling cabs.

Cheers.

Never heard of that one, but just don't say anything in the listing? Sold plenty on ebay and the most I've said is that the game is set to freeplay.

Yeah, I will be selling it on freeplay, but wanted to say it can be set for coins, if needed. Maybe to use as as a piggy bank, or something.

I think that's only a thing with Fruit Machines, as you need a license to sell them with working payout - but if it's all disconnected it can be classed as personal use only.

Makes sense for gambling machines, but is a licence needed to sell pay-to-play machines, I wonder. Maybe the listings I've seen have just got confused with the rules for gambling machines.

Yes, as said it's only on machines that are considered gambling, Fruit Machines, even Coin Pushers?!?, but Prize machines are ok if it's skill based ones, anything you win prize rather than cash

It's all silly rubbish again though, had arguments with ebay when I tried to sell a Coin Pusher I bought from ebay working, they removed it, I listed again they removed it, I spoke to them, said it's against there policy, my question was why they hell are there at least 50 pushers and fruit machines on at any one time with no Licence to sell then, they couldn't answer that other than, we can't check everything on ebay, business sellers they seem to allow more than private sellers even though it's breaking gambling laws they should abide by, they don't hardly ever remove business sellers items

So then I pointed out a few pushers that shouldn't be on ebay with no licence and they said on the machine that isn't working it's fine to list it, I said but how does that make any difference, if it's not legal to sell without licence any type gambling machine and someone can fix it in minutes how does that make it right, answer is if it don't work you can list it,

so I relisted mine straight after and said have to list this pusher now as non working but it's really easy to fix it if you know what I mean and sold it on there

absolute nonsense ain't it

Yeah they probably seen these other coin op machines with sellers saying such stuff and just put it to be safe but no need on Coin Op Video Games, it's fine to sell them as don't pay money out, licence only for gambling type ones
