I wondered about Quest, but couldn't be arsed to put mine on to find out. Interested to hear what they're going to blame for the outage...

Plus anything else that uses Facebook as an identity provider like Pokémon Go.

They're taking their time to get everything back online.... Wonder if it's a hack.

Apparently took so long to fix as staff were locked out from using tools they needed, not to mention locked out of the building as their security pass system was f**ked up, too.

Rather worrying that something can cause everything to come crashing down like this. They seemed rather too eager to say it was an internal issue. I wonder...

Maybe Insulate Britain were blocking The Information SuperHighway?

And it took the Internet Police 6 hours of asking them politely before they moved on?

Those insulate britain lot, geez

Cant imagine how the people in the tower blocks feel about we need to insulate Britain, loads of them facing huge bills because government and dodgy companies used flammable cladding to insulate the buildings they live in and none of em want to pay

Also having more insulation put in isnt going to help you if you cant aford to have heating on, going to be pointless for you, really dont get there cause at times like this

Amazes me how many livelihoods are reliant on Facebook, other platforms and internet

I recently bought a used Oculus CV1 and had to create a Facebook account to use it. I used it once and put in into storage for a month or so. My FB account was set to private and I have not followed or posted anything. Anyhoo I got an email last week saying:

You have 30 days to request a review
Hi Ian,
Your
Facebook account has been disabled. This is because your account, or
activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards.

If you
think that we've disabled your account by mistake, we can take you
through a few steps to request a review. You'll need to complete these
steps within 30 days to avoid your account being permanently disabled.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So please tell me Facebook, just how do I confirm it's actually me if the f*cking continue box is greyed out?!

So the Rift CV1 I bought is an ornament now. It looks like Facebook actually owns the device and not me. Ah well, that's my Nieces Christmas present sorted then. The bad news is that she'll have to buy a new GPU to use it as the RX460 she has will probably struggle.
