What's the easiest way to filter a large ROM set down by category?

I've no idea which version of MAME is used in RGB-Pi but I can at least navigate to the root ROM directory. It's running OS 2 on a Pi 3B+. I don't particularly want to spend days trying to figure out the solution. I tried ROMlister but it wanted a whole host of XML and DAT files. I just want something with all that information built-in. A script or CLI would have been ideal too.

- 2 player

- up to 6 buttons each

- horizontal only

- no adult games

- 8-way joysticks only
- no gambling or mahjong etc

- no consoles, megatech or playchoice

Thanks

All of RGB-Pi's romsets are curated - you just need access to the private Telegram account to be able to download them. To do that, join their Discord and post a photo of your RGB-Pi and then you'll get access it it. All downloads are sorted by systems.
