I have another one too (I was sure I'd posted about it earlier ... but it doesn't look like it).

SQIJ!

This game was originally made for the Commodore Plus/4, 16 and 64, but probably mostly known for it's beyond terrible - and completely unplayable - ZX Spectrum version.

Back in 2018 I remade SQIJ for the ZX Spectrum. This remake is based on the Commodore version.

... and then afterwards I ported it to the Taito L System arcade hardware.

Not sure if Jim Bagley is still a member on here but he did Pac Manic Miner Man (Manic Miner on Pac Man Hardware). He was also doing a version of Jet-Pack (Jet-Pac) but I don't think that was finished ?

I read about this a few months ago, it looks really good

I wouldn't mind trying it on my PacMan board, however I'm guessing you also need to burn the colour and sound proms and I've not got the equipment to burn them

Pac manic minor uses the standard colour proms. But yes you do need to burn 6 2532's

I have been playing Manic Miner on the Speccy Emulator for the last week. I am such a bad gamer that I probably only made it to level 5 or so on the original ZX Spectrum I had.
Finally, with "endless lives endless air" hack, I have managed to get to level 16 and stuck there at the moment.

Thanks for the heads up on the Jim Bagley hack. I would not have looked into it as I would have just assumed it is Pacman with Manic Miner graphics.

Cool, that’s good to know. I can burn 2532’s. That’s definitely on the “to do” list

I remember completing Manic Miner on the ZX Spectrum BITD without any cheats. I managed to do it with one life spare, great game.qjuk2023-01-18 09:55:08

I played MM a lot BITD and managed to loop it a few times. I had the original Bug Byte release, and they were running a compo for the first person to finish it. A symbol/icon is revealed when the last screen is completed - seem to remember it was a knife & fork, or something. I rang Bug Byte but was too late, of course.
