yes its some sort of screen collapse, is the chassis on the correct tube? this might not be the IC it could be something else

yes the Chassis and the Tube are both original and are mated from the factory

no switches have been made

btw Duncan, this monitor is not the one I got from you, that one is stored away

pretty proud of myself today and god had it all planned that I receive my nice shiny new desolderings station and I need to use it today

All fixed, indeed it was the Vertical IC and I used the newer version IC so should last a good 10 years more
