Forum slowness??

Hi all

Not sure if it's just me but does anyone else find the forum to be sluggish lately? I just wrote a nice long post and it sat there loading only to be greeted by the following error.

An error has occurred while writing to the database.
Please contact the Forum Administrator.

Seems like the SQL server is struggling a bit but it's also an overall slowness for me (perhaps down to the SQL server serving up pages) and it's not at any certain time of day it does it.

I tend to copy and some times later paste my post before i submit it just in case i loose it now.

I'm not nagging just making those who need to be aware, aware.

I'd encourage members who haven't already to join me and donate whatever you can as this place can't be cheap to run and maintain. Just think how much you've gotten out of it. For me, it's a lot of knowledge and hell, I'd never have gotten my cabinet if it wasn't for this place.

Nothing new. If I type a long post (rarely), I always hit ctrl+A and ctrl+C before posting. That way you can paste and try again if needed.

That's what I'm doing now. Glad it's not just me, well kind of.

If you need a faster host i can recommend FastHosts they are local to me, a huge company who serve some big names and their prices are very good. Never seen down time with them or slow downs in the years I've been involved with them (since 2012) both professionally and privately. Not a plug, just advice if required.
