Evening All!

I mostly run MAME in my JAMMA cabs. For the past four or five years, I've had Linux-based systems, booting off USB drives running GroovyMame with CRT Emudrivers and Attract Mode.

I love the simplicity and ease of shut down with these. When I'm done, I just pull the plug and down they shuts.

I've never had a problem with this. However, years of kiddies' parties with enthusiastic small fingers mashing buttons has led to loads of random changes to settings. There's also a fair few games missing or not working in my set up.

So, I'm thinking it's time for an update.

Am I right in remembering that Windows can be configured on an SSD to do the same job, and that it might have even less lag than the Linux option?

I'm sure there was a dedicated thread about all of this on JAMMA+ before it shut down.

But does anyone have a link to an up-to-date guide, or even a preconfigured set-up that I could install? It's been ages since I've one any of this.

Cheers
