Great to hear he's playing the classics, but he's got a bit of a way yet to
get a landmark score.

The world record is 4,715,720, by Eric Bolduc in July 1982.

Well, according to my Twin Galaxies book, anyway.

My best ever was somewhere over 1m, over 100 stages...not exactly sure
how high anymore...got there a few times but gave the game up each time
because my eyes were going buggy ... over an hour for a quarter was a
lot! These days am lucky to get over 300,000, but don't play anywhere
near as regularly! ../Taras

CONFIDENTIAL E-MAIL FROM SLAUGHTER AND MAY

I always loved the double shot Galaga version. I remember about 900k on that
one but only about 250k on the traditional Galaga. That's not bad for a
machine I haven't owned.
