Anyone own a 412-in-1 (Vertical) Game Elf multi-board?

I have one, but the menu and games are upside down.

There's a dip switch (#2) which according to the setup menu should flip the screen, but it doesn't (even though it shows as 'on' in the setup menu when the dip has been moved).

This review of the board shows the Game Elf logo with the text to the left of the screen on powerup (skip to 2:40) and the menu/games are the correct way up.

When I try, the Game Elf logo is exactly the same (text on the left) but the menus and games are all upside down, irrespective of where dip #2 is, and what it says on the setup menu.

Am I doing something wrong? Don't fancy rotating the screen 180 degrees every time the kids (

) want to play Astro Blaster.

If anyone runs into this issue again and arrives on this thread:

On the newer versions of the board, there is a system setting to flip the screen instead of using the switches.

After turning the machine on, press the little black button on the board that's next to the switches when the screen says "Press TEST"... this get's you into the menu. From there, finding the option to flip the screen should be a doddle.

Learnt this myself just today.

Seller didn't swop the board or replace it...I bought it off Fuzzy...

Technically I think I did replace the board and then you bought the 'faulty' one from me and collected it directly from Fuzzy. Or something like that

I tried that, and it didn't work either.

Jay, I can't remember exactly the situation now.

Did you have 3 fire buttons on your player 1 controls? The reason I ask is that you need the 3rd fire button to toggle the setting on/off before you press P1 START to save the setting. If you only have 2 buttons functional on your cp then obviously it wouldn't work.

Was that maybe what happened with yours?

I was just trying to avoid any further confusion in this thread, given that I'm fairly sure Silverfox now has the 'replaced' 412-1 board, ie the 2nd one I had sent to Fuzzy.

btw you need to dig that board out mate as I'm fairly confident that the flipscreen will work on your board after all - as long as you have a 3rd fire button to change the setting.

Same 412 elf .
Different problem
Can anyone help me with this
An awful lot if the games don't work on the 412
Card I'm using on a 619
Games like Mikie ,jackal ,space invaders part 2
Circus Charlie ,starforce etc
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and would know
How to sort it .
All the games on the 619 work ok ,and I've tried
Cleaning the card and in four different machines
Other games on the 412 work ok
And the ones I've mentioned show the demo
But won't load and just go back to home screen

That's a weird one Glenn and has me stumped mate. I'll see if I can acquire a replacement SD card for you. Only thing is, everything's shut down now for 3 weeks due to Chinese New Year so it will have to wait 'til early March.

Cheers Danny ,I've a tendency to attract strange
Problems :)
Just thought id see if anyone had the same prob and
Sorted it
I've really enjoyed these boards and dare I say it
The less hassle of and risk of changing expensive
Original boards all the time ,and messing about with monitor etc

Someone set up a JAMMA cabinet for me with the 412 in 1 board, which works fine. But when I add an ArcadeSD board (which doesn’t have a flip option), it’s upside down. So my assumption is my 412 in 1 board was set up with the monitor wires swapped so the setting wasn’t done on the board or through the test feature. It must have been a workaround to make the board work. But now that I’m using a switcher, I need the original setting in place but flipped. Hope that makes sense. Any thoughts on how to do that? And would it work in a Nintendo cabinet with a JAMMA adapter since the factory setting is upside down?
