Visited the Pier at Burnham on Sea this weekend and had a walk through the amusements. As expected it’s mostly grabbers and pushers which aren’t really my thing; and a few bowling games and basketball shooters. But it was good to see a couple of video games in there.

A nice Mario Kart GP DX twin. Not a great game, over too quickly and no second race even if you come 1st. Seems a bit harsh but in keeping with credit munchers.

I was really pleased to see Sega’s Mission: Impossible. It wasn’t the big three screen 4 player beast but I haven’t had the chance to play this game yet. Now I have I think I prefer the free handed guns from older Sega shooters. These pedestal/mounted guns are ok but I feel less like an agent and more like a mounted gunner. Still, really cool game along the lines of Confidential Mission. The floor plate was interesting - it has shakers in it which caught me by surprise. Not sure what hardware the game actually runs on but would be good fun in a multi game shooter in the future.

There was also a Minecraft game that was basically a top down dungeon crawler. Looked pretty crap to be honest.

All £1 a go and in full working order. Worth a look if you’re there.

:D That's what my Nephew was complaining about in the Arcades now, have to keep throwing money in them, I played Initial D and couldn't believe you won race and still had to pay for next stage, so that was end of it for me, buy the game and play at home 😊
