Thanks guys.

Life has indeed began today.

As an unexpected bonus Mrs M has pulled an absolute blinder of epic proportions, details of which I shall share after I've sorted the school runs!

Neil.

Hi guys,

So after a day of eating in various top spots, I was presented with a sealed envelope by Mrs M, the contents of which are most exciting....

This weekend with the kids safely farmed out my wife is taking me on the train, 1st class, to Edinburgh, our fave city, where we are booked into a castle view suite in a 4* star hotel, eating in a posh gaff, then afternoon tea the next day at The Dome.

Which equals a top banana weekend.

Then she dropped in the tickets to the GAMES MASTER EXHIBITION at the National Museum of Scotland, with a pre - booked FOUR HOUR SLOT to entertain ourselves with all the cabs at our fingertips.

Let's hear it for Mrs M! Hip hip.......

Hi guys,

Just as an update, it's not my birthday again!

Having returned from Edinburgh and more pertinently, the Games Masters Exhibition, I thought I would just give it a thumbs up.

For ten pounds for four hours I thought it was good value. Anyone thinking of going, the obvious draw is the opening section of arcade cabs from the golden age, DK, Pacman, Defender, Invaders, Centipede, Missile Command, Asteroids, etc plus Outrun further inside. All working with reasonable responses from the controls.

The exhibition then leads you through various genre's from past to present and a peak into the future with some Indie game development.

All hands on and playable stuff, loads of artwork and spiel, great for all ages with kids engrossed in LAN games of Minecraft, mum's dancing and singing vaguely in time and tune, whilst the dad's struggled to regain the coordination of their youth.

Ticket only with numbers kept to a refreshing manageable level. Was sold out when we went and still ok with everyone moving on after each game.

Definitely worth going and Mrs M so impressed that she is now INSISTING that I buy another cab!Result!

The only down side is she wants a DK! Hmm, empty wallet!?!

Going back in March with the kids!

Neil
