40 years today (16th 1978) Taito would officially unveil Space Invaders to the world.

Happy Birthday old friend.

I'll never forget the day when my local bowling alley had this game, sunk many 10p's into it.

The game that started it all. Happy birthday. Still going strong today. Only yesterday, a delivery driver asked me if I had a "table-top Space Invaders".

A mate brought his young daughter round a few weeks back to play a few games. First game she wanted to play? Yep, SI. God knows how she even knew about the game - she's about 7. Coming again today to play some more.

Never played it much myself BITD, due to being crap at it.

I discovered ( by mistake) that you could shoot through the shields only after I had sunk hours into the game

Still didn't make it an easier lol
