So, has anyone heard from retrorepair in the last few weeks/months and does anyone have any outstanding deals with him?
I sent him a lot of money for a couple of items back in June and I've heard nothing since. PMs have been ignored even though he did log in after I sent one or two of them. I've never been anything but polite, patient and understanding as I like to think I always am with all trades, buying or selling.
This caper, plus a couple of other 'situations' have near finished me off in this hobby, but after a quiet few months I'm determined to try to resolve things and get the love for the hobby, and my sanity back

I bought an oscilloscope from him earlier in the year. I had to chase him continuously like a debt collection agency until he sent it.
He did eventually send the item, and it was all fine. But prompt delivery does not appear to be his forte to put it politely.

Gotta say I've always been a bit nervous when a deal in action with him and Deano, though never had an issue myself so far, but I think highlights the need to be cautious at all times when doing deals through the internet, specially when there is previous history but you can't trust anyone no matter how long they been on forums as other long time members shown

Pretty sad when it gets to this stage - I don't need the stress, but I've always been a one for things being right and fair.. and this situation is not that.

These 'Capers' and 'situations' sure can tests a guys patience though.
Hang in there mate, a while ago I came close to packing it all in but after some time to reflect I'm now glad I didn't.
