Hi, I was a teenager in the 80's so grew up playing Arcade games in odd places like the local swimming pool, youth club and motorbike dealers. So I love retro gaming, I ran out of retro consoles to collect so I thought I would get into Arcade PCB's and who knows if I can find the space a cabinet. I already have a Taito Space Invaders and Midway Pac Man board, I am looking to add more 70's 80's boards to my collection.

Welcome .. that stirred a memory !

These sort of odd sites were my ‘bread & butter’ locations 40 years ago competing with the big operators…. Places too risky for the main suppliers as access hours were limited and low security. But plenty of teenagers ready to play in their leisure time.
(And spend their pocket money ! ) …

I look back and I supplied 39 youth clubs in the region with video games , pooltables jukeboxes, etc also 3 motor cycle / accessories places and a leisure centre with a pool at that time . Also the odd cafe/chippy and a few vhs video film hire shops.

I thank teenagers like you for supporting my growing enterprise… although some machines took only a few coins and often got broke into or trashed in other ways with graffiti and cigarette burns BUT I wouldn’t change a thing if I lived over as I maybe planted the seed of collectors today ???

I had a supply contract with the county council for some popular venues and big youth centres which helped ….
I later expanded into public house supply that’s where the rewards eventually came!

Thank you for sharing that, I guess all of us that experienced the early days of arcade games enjoy the nostalgia as it reminds us of the golden days of our youth.

Welcome
Yes the buzz of finding a new arcade game in a cab office, video shop or takeaway was so exciting. Those were the days. Nice boards to start your collection, two classics.

Welcome. Even places like North Wales which had lots of dedicated arcades had arcade machines in swimming pools, leisure centers, video shops, chippys, little shops etc. Any chance to get cash in off people who had 5 or 10 minutes to spare. Had to 'take over' from a number of kids who were dragged off by their parents when the fish and chips turned up lol!
You may be shocked by the price of an original Taito Bubble Bobble PCB!
