Hi and welcome along. Any tales from the Atari console division?

Dan

what can i say we did the big shows at the N E C,cafe royal, manchester, went all over the place they were a very good company to work for bitd ,we had all the current at the time arcade games on freeplay just up against the wall in the service centre, was sad to see them go from a major player to a minor one.

Welcome,

Where was the location of the service centre?
hi Alpha,
i started with them when they first came to the uk console divson that is, the arcade machines were mostly run from a base in ireland ,they rented space in north london from ingersoll then as they got bigger we moved to an industrial estate over in cheshunt, then when they were doing really well they had a purpose built warehouse/head office in slough just over the tracks from slough station if i remember it was called intercity house

we used to go to blazers in windsor for our xmas bash

i stuck with them for about 2 years but travelling from north london to slough everyday got on my tits i should have taken them up on their relocation package but i was young and didnt fancy slough at all still dont
