Hi,
I'm Graham, I started my career in the 1970s in electronics and have just semi-retired as a network consultant (and have worked on much stuff in between including software development. control & weighing systems, embedded code development in 'C', Arduino, CNC programming and lots of networking).
Started getting into arcade systems about 10 years ago and collected a large number of JAMMA boards. I've built up a good electronics lab since then including several scopes, a logic analyser, a host of EPROM programmers and I'm now re-learning how to use them all..... :)
My main interest is really Asteroids and I now have 2 original and one bootleg boards, original monitor, PSU and wiring harness so getting this working is on my bucket list.
During lockdown I buit a Scopetrex which was great fun and works a treat.
On the bench today is a Track & Field that I'm repairing for a good friend.
Looking forward to getting to know you people.

Hi and welcome. I'm on a similar boat.
Programming in machine code originally for Z80, 6502 processors, then a plethora of other languages, until doing Swift for Apple devices now.
Done electronics way back, and starting to re-learn much of it for semi-retirement, lol.
So join the club, sit back with your favourite beverage, and don't be afraid to get involved.

Welcome. On the other side of the fence you have people like me who despite all the courses my company can throw at me with power shell and bloody Azure , I still find bat files and IAAS VM's do the job :) I cant solder that well, hi scores I can only dream of, I own no original PCB's as they are so expensive . But I like retro consoles and lucky to have been given two arcade cabinets which I cannot complain about and do enjoy this forum as an escape, and find the threads very interesting. I think we all dream of bigger houses, I would certainly snap a jukebox up that a member is selling !!! Welcome to a friendly forum !
