Hello,
Glad to see there’s still an active Arcade forum since a lot is on FB nowadays. I think there is way more structure on a forum like this and easier to manage a topic. :)

I have started collecting Arcades/Pinball machines about 10 years ago with a Bally Dr Who. Later I have bought a totally broken Sega Outrun upright Arcade without any technical knowledge about Arcade games. I was just too happy to have finally found one. And had an enormous motivation to fix the Arcade. After putting many hours into it, a year later, I was able to fix the pcb’s and the cabinet with all it’s parts.
Nowadays I have got a few more cabs:
- Super Hang-on mini ride on (monitor needs work)
- Indy 500 deluxe 2 times (from which one starts to smell like burning plastic after 20 seconds… this started out of nothing. Both are rusty and are waiting restoration.).
- Custom made cabinet with a pc inside
- Cruisin USA deluxe (which I have never had working and am going to post about)

And ofcourse I still got the Outrun upright cab (broken fuse) and Dr Who (Empty battery).

As you see above there is a lot to fix!

A big welcome to the ‘Vac.

Fixing and restoring machines is half the fun (in my view :) ).
Look forward to reading about you fixing up your Cruisin USA.
Thanks!
It is! It gives so much satisfaction! 😊
But it also consumes a lot of time! :D
I have jist moved to another house, there’s a lot to do so Arcade-progress goes even slower. 😊

I did post about my Cruisin USA yesterday, it was waiting for approval and now I can’t find/see it anymore… it might be denied. 🤔

Hallo landgenoot, you got an awesome gaming space over there!
Hallo, thanks!
Yes, it is a big space!
I have just moved to this house, I used to have them in the attic. Except for Indy500 and Cruisin USA, after I bought those they went straight to a storage so I haven’t really played them yet. 😊

10 years and you only just joined us !!

Welcome to ukvac,

Dave.
Hahaha yes, back then I joined the Aussiearcade forum. I don’t know why, it was the first one I found?
That forum is kind of dead now if you ask me. I tried a post on Facebook in a restoration group but it went out of sight to quick. Also it is hard to show progress on a restoration or something because you end up with separate messages.. Finally.I thought ok, this is it: time to join UKVAC! 😁
