Just signed up to ukvac, and thought I should do the decent thing and introduce myself.
Currently living in Poole, Dorset but we're moving to our own place in Wimborne in a few days time, as my wife's due to give birth in less than 2 weeks.
I've been a passionate gamer since the age of 6, when I got a Spectrum for Christmas, which was later followed by two Amigas and various PC's. Also spent way too much of my time in arcades during my teenage years, playing stuff like Operation Wolf, Super Hang On, Wec Le Mans, Star Wars, Road Blasters, Out Run, etc.
If there was one (actually two) games I wished I could've taken home with me though, it was Hard Drivin & Race Drivin. I just couldn't stop playing those, even at a pound a pop!
As I'll finally have my own garage when we move next week, I'm hoping to do something I've always wanted to do which is build a small games room in there
As you may have guessed, my first port of call is trying to find a Hard- or Race Drivin cab, but I had a bit of shock when I realised how rare these things are now. So I'm gonna post a proper wanted ad, but in the meantime do please let me know if you have one you're thinking of selling.
If space and funds allow, I'd also like to get either Out Run or Sega Rally in there too, and a pinball machine for good measure.
Anyway I look forward to meeting people on here, it seems like a great forum. And apologies in advance if any questions I ask seem stupid, however I'm only just getting back into this arcade stuff after a 20 year hiatus
