Hi all,
I did subscribe to UKVAC back in the olden days, but not registered here!

I'm Rich from the West Mids, I own 4 Lasergames, a SW upright and a Blasteroids.
I love Atari stuff, Vectors (well to look at, not to work on!)

Hi, Oll is it?
Got a Dragon's Lair (Cinematronics), Dragon's Lair 2, Space Ace (Cinematronics) & a Space Ace (Cinematronics) Dedicated. The rare one. Half of them work! Still waiting on a few parts for the rest. I had an Atari Dragon's Lair but sold it to a collector in Italy.

Hello Rich!

Dave Spicer has your old Firefox now. He's got it all working and it's running off a CF card instead of LDP.

Hi dude,

Sounds like you're not too far from me. I've got a lovely Star Wars cockpit that I just sit in sometimes to watch the nice light display (fortunately from the screen, not the deflection or HT boards

- yet).

There is a Midlands tech-meet coming up in the next month or so if you're interested - it's in the Meetings section.

cheers

Welcome - Tim beat me to issuing an invite to the tech meet. Have a look at the details let me know if you want to pop over - the more the merrier and the more people to help steer me in the right direction.

Hehe. I did wonder whether it would be impolite to offer an invite on your behalf, but I figured the more the merrier

Hi!
I'll try to make that meet!

My old ROTJ to Firefox conversion is working? COOL!! I would love to see a vid of that!

Er, how do I put a link to uploaded pics of mine? I did try a link to an external site for hosting, but it wasn't having any of it!
Do let me know and I'll get pics of my stuff up!

Regards,
Rich

Good to see another midlander in the fold.

If you have the pics on your pc, you can use the little tree button above to upload directly, there is a filesize limit, not sure what it is but you will soon find out, looks like this :-

Thanks!
I've got NOS Space Ace dedi side art, just not applied it yet. The SA dedi had a complete resto as it was dropping to bits. The Space Ace in the middle is a brand new cab and the Dragon's Lair is still a work in progress. My Dragon's Lair 2 is unrestored and a little tatty, but I got Gary Goldman and Don Bluth to sign the marquee when Finny UK and myself went out to lunch with them in 2004 (I think it was). So that kind of helps make up for it!

Damn, I managed to miss this thread!

Rich, your Firefox conversion is alive and well. There's a thread about it over on Jamma+ which I really ought to mirror over here. The laserdisc player got replaced by an horrendous hack made up of stripboard and a Xilinx development board.

Sadly the main gameplay video has been pulled from my site due to lack of space. I'll try to delete a few things so I can reinstate it.

Rich,

Here's an old video of a complete game:

Many thanks to Tim for letting me use some space.

Sound quality is iffy due to the camera and because I had the speakers balanced on a bit of wood on top of the coin box!

Well you can't see the cab, so you'll just have to take my word that it's yours. I'm really only using it as a shell because most of the innards were a bit knackered. The monitor has already found its way to the local tip and the gameboards have been swapped out for a nice set I bought years back. The boards worked, they were just unbelievably flakey and looked like they would fall apart at the slightest provocation. Who threw them in the sea? Was it you or Rav?
