[ukvac] Hyper Sports to JAMMA - Tech.

Hi

I am about to convert a Konami Hyper Sports PCB
for use with a JAMMA cabinet, and have already
received great help from people on this group.

I have just two minor technical questions which will
enable me to complete this conversion.

1) The Hyper Sports Pinouts state that the Parts and Solder
side for Pin 2 represent 'Speaker Out'

On a JAMMA Cabinet they are represented by Pin 10 Parts and Solder Sides
as 'Speaker (-) and 'Speaker (+)'

Which side of Pin 2 on the HS PCB is +ve and which is -ve?
Does it matter if they are connected back to front?

2)Similarly, Pin 7 on the Parts Side of the HS PCB is
annotates as 'SERVICE'

What does this correspond to on the JAMMA connection?
Is it Test Switch, Tilt Switch or neither?

Many Thanks

Jason

One thing I found usefull when converting my T'n'F to jamma
was the way I wired the controls. My Jamma cab has two joysticks
each with 3 buttons. Now some of my friends perfer playing
Tnf by wigglying the joystick, while other are tradintionalists and
like to bash buttons to run.

I wired my adaptor so that the pins for the run buttons are wired to the left and right joystick switches and to the outside buttons for each player, the jump button is wired directly to the middle button for each player. I also wired in the the player 3 start to p1 joystick up and player 4 start to p2 joystick up.

Cheers
Lee
