I'm new and after advice!

Hi all I'm new and after some advice.

I've been after a particular arcade game for several years and have only googled around for it half arsed until now as I can actually afford to get it. The game I'm after is either San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing or San Francisco Rush The Rock: Alcatraz Edition. I can easily find these for sale in the US for around £700 to £1000 but wouldn't have a clue on how to arrange shipping, how much that would cost and I would really rather go visit the machine and try it out. Anyone know where I could look for one in the UK or the best way to try and locate one?

Hmm.. There used to be quite a few lurking about in Ops places a few years back, but I havent seen one for a few years now. With luck somebody will say they've seen one still running as thats your best bet I reckon. Good luck!

Hi, last time I saw one was in 2005 in cananda torronto airport. Last I saw one in the UK must've been over ten years ago in Butlins Minehead Crackerjacks arcade and either a P&O or sea france ferry!

Welcome along Mike. I'm in a similar situation of trying to find an old and rare-ish game myself (from the early 90's in my case) so I feel your pain.

All you can do is be patient (difficult if you're like me!) and just keep asking around on forums like this. Hopefully someone on here will know of one, or know someone that might know

Just a note of hope, I've been collecting for a while now and pretty much every game I ever wanted or could ever remember has come along for sale at one time or another. It's just a matter of time and having the cash/space when it does come up! Patience is key in this game in my experience

Thanks for the info - can anyone recommend places to check out reguarly? I've only found about 3 websites that have older games for sale and of course ebay. It's really frustrating thinking you've found one and then you realise it's located in the US!

ebay is going to be your best bet "web" wise, best thing to do is to drive around arcades till you find one then offer the op £££ for it

and in the meantime pick up a PS2 or Xbox and get Midway Arcade Treasures 3, both games are on that to satisfy your thirst til one crops up

Just ordered off ebay for £2.95 - lucky I've got one of the first PS3's that'll play PS2 games! Hopefully it's better than the N64 port as that was rubbish!

Oh it is much better than the N64 version, 100% better I've played and got both!

I have both too, (well I've got in on the xbox) anyhow. Xbox version certainly superior to N64
