Hi all
I wondered if anyone can help me,
I have a Windows XP’ pc with pci express slot
I have bought a arcadevga 3000 card from a member
I have downloaded the arcadevga 3000 drivers

1. I fitted the card and even bought a dvi to vga connector
2. Connected vga cable to vga monitor
3. Powered on nothing nothing on screen
I then Take out the vga cable and connect to the vga on board card and it has booted into windows
I have disabled the vga onboard graphics
When resetting it still displays nothing on the screen

In the device manager it does not even detect the arcade vga
Can anyone help me install this as I am stuck
There is not a lot of info on the internet on how to do this

You install the cards drivers and it should have a pop up asking you what you would like to do with the ports on the card, you then use the resolution tools to set which are allowed out to the crt via 15k vga. The DVI should always just display stuff and work.

I thought the purpose of the Arcadevga was to display on a 15khz - 25khz Arcade Monitor? If so the LCD prob does not support 15 - 25khz ?

The problem I have is the pc does not even recognise the card is there
The software can not be installed as it does not find the card in the first place

What is the main board , can you access the bios .
Asking as on the graphics tab look for auto , switch , switchable , chip. Depends on age duecto you running win 7. Set to switch , switchable, auto. Then save and exit .northwest2019-10-26 22:01:27

Ok progress report
I switched on auto detect card in bios and I plugged in the vga via dvi connector to vga on lcd screen
It booted and went into win xp
It found new hardware and I cancelled that and manually installed the driver A From the down load and it installed a Ultimarc driver
I installed quick res
Then shut down
I plugged in my arcadevga card to the euro scart to Sony trinitron scart
I powered on the pc and the tv switched itself on and I get a blank screen
I chose different av channels but get nothing
I then shut down
I replugged in the vga via dvi connector to the lcd and power on pc it then reboots past the Windows XP logo
Then it shows a no signal on the lcd screen
So now I am stuck
I have nearly pulled my hair out over this and wasted a shed load of time :(
Any help please before I use a hammer keptboy2019-10-27 08:33:22

You have to set the resolutions up first so that the card knows what it can output to the crt, quickres is just that, a quick way to set your desktop to a res.

F8 on bootup to get you into a viewable safe mode on dvi.

Last update for today
I got it to boot into safe mode
However when clicking on the Quickres I can not select any display modes
I have tried to install other packages from the arcadevga 3000 download but everything I try to install it says
Framework 2.0 needed or direct x or administrative rights
So yet again I am stuck ha ha
They say this is easy

I think I have found the issue
The card is installed
But I can not install the additional things like the catalyst installer etc
This is because I can not do a windows update
Or has anyone on here got any other ideas
Shall I update the pc to windows 7 and then install the card

Hello mate,

Have you tried the drivers that can be found here: LINK

When you turn on the PC what monitor do you have plugged in? Do you have the correct khz range on that monitor to display 15khz - 31khz?

Depending on the monitor connected at the time, it might tell the driver what it's display options are and preset that video source to the card. Just my 2 cents worth

Hi all
The ultimarc driver is installed in device manager in windows Xp
I then switch off pc
I then plug in Euro scart from vga to tv but I get nothing
I plug back in lcd via dvi connector and boot back into windows I run quick res but it won’t allow me to change display
After watching videos on YouTube after installing the arcadevga you reset then it asks what you need to choose how you want to display ——— my windows Xp setup does not ask this question

I am at the stage where I want to smash pc up
