I'm a new member to this site and was happy to have found it. Just stumbled on Jamma+ today... similar website (visually I mean - not in terms of detailed breakdown of forum topics or culture, etc.)

What's the deal? What's the difference? Are there other prominent arcade collector's sites in the UK?

UKvAc has been super good to me - nice people - friendly, helpful culture, etc. good deals! but just curious about Jamma+

You'll find a lot of people including myself are members of both forums. I find it more laid back here and have never had problems with anyone on here either.

Both forums are useful places for arcade collectors in the UK.

I would say they probably share 75% userbase then 25% being unique to each site.

They are the biggest UK forums, with forum.arcadeotaku.com a close third.

UKVAC was a mailing list formed in 1997/98 before moving to a forum, and J+ was always a forum.

Both also had IRC channels back in the day.

Hope that helps

Yeah I saw items by sellers that I recognized as against both sites. I've been on this site a lot since joining recently and made a purchase.

I'll probably join Jamma+ as well (just to keep apprised of what's for sale, etc.) but, scrolling through posts on J+ I definitely noticed that things were a bit more chill over here - which I'm really into.

I (like many) are members of both. Less rules and regs here than 'over the road'. J+ is still a great site, though. I tend to see it more as a place for JAMMA specific things, and ukvac more for dedicated cabs and boards, etc. There is crossover on both sites of course, though.
