[uk-vac] JAMMA Pac-Man help?
Hiya,

I have a JAMMA Pac Man - it appears to be a bootleg made using some custom
ROMs on a Tecmo 6303A boardset. This board doesn't have any dip switches
and the test/service switches don't appear to trigger anything. Does anyone
have any experience with this, and can point me at how to set it for FREE
PLAY?

At a push, I suppose I could put the original board in, but why risk a
genuine board for everyday use when you have cheap knock-off you can use
instead? :)

TIA,
Ross

Am I the only one wondering if that argument works for infidelity too? ;)

Lets just say somebody finally found a use for all those horrid world
cup 90 boards that everybody loved to hate.

:)

I sold the first two, under licence from the developer. The first one
fetched £73, the second went for £65.

You might want to check under the PROMs, I probably left a mark. (Or
maybe I didn't, I don't remember now.)

Useful info below:

------------------------------------------------
one of the blocks of switches should have the same things as normal pacman -
one switch enables the 2nd set of names - you'll recognise them when you
find it!

manual - Namco never did one ;)

Thanks Phil, I'll take another look at it tomorrow (it's in the office) and report back... So is it naughty to let someone dump the ROMs of more recently bootlegged game?!

Here's the dips as I discovered when I once owned one!
Believe me though, as good an achievement as it is, you can't beat the original - I know as I now have a full size upright machine! :)
