Thanks for the reply. Indeed these were DOA !That conical spring looks rusted to pieces and no amount of vinegar will revive it
It’s not essential that a tapered conical spring is fitted. You can get away with rejector return springs from the entry slot of s10 mech assemblies as they ar light duty, or even springs from inside starpoint fruity Hold buttons though may have to be shortened a bit to allow the button to travel far enough to activate the leaf contact ( which is why they are conical so when compressed go real flat). Button needs a good clean … was it in a swamp for months?
Ah interesting ! I have not come across them often so will sort them out tomorrow with some borrowed springs .The translucent buttons with a cross in the plastic originated on Universal cabs… you are not alone seeking them for replacement. You may have to resort to a different brand?
Would it not be possible to get a new spring button and rob the spring from it to preserve the original buttons?
Should be able to get them from pinball suppliers fairly easily.
