[ukvac] MAME cocktail cabs - recommendations?
OK this is for a colleague, nothing to do with me!

Which (if any) of the "pre built commercial mame cocktail cabs" would
you guys recommend? In terms of price vs build quality vs features?
Should have the ability to update the games etc as well as not
lookign too ugly (tho to be honest I dont think this is too much of a
problem as the guy jsut wants something for a games room, he's
certainly not a purist!).

He mentioned these, tho I think a) they cost a bomb and b) they look
pretty bad.

Any better suggestions?
Shaun

PS Building one from a taito shell doesnt appear to be an option!

Well, we all know they're a complete ripoff, waste of money, etc, etc,
so let's just take that as read and move on!

Either of those look pretty nice, but look like they cater for
completely different kind of things. I guess if it were between those
two then it would simply come down to taste.

Personally i would have thought that if he wants it for his games room
then the traditional Taito style one would be the better, especially
as it's backed by a proper company and not bought off of ebay.

Can't think of the name off hand, but wasn't there a company doing
superb ones with curved chrome legs and stuff? They really did look
very good.

I thought it was something like "lounge lizards" or something, but if
i google for that i just get a load of tripe back about some obscure
bands (no doubt get a flurry of mails from people that love their
music!).

I actually think that some of these tables, if you're prepared to pay
that kind of money (which i'm not), are actually really nice. Just
that we all know better :O)

Here you go:
http://www.digitaltables.co.uk

But at their prices, i imagine they can shove them where the sun don't
shine!

They also list Arcade Warehouse as a stockist. With a lot of luck they
nothing to do with them other than taking a slice of the pie and
selling them :O)

Yep I saw that one too but its out of even HIS budget!
I tried telling him the taito option was better, but
so far its a no-goer.
