Metal Slug 6 on Dreamcast ???

Hi All,

I have an imported Japanese Dreamcast that I bought new in 1998 and I see now that Atomiswave games like Metal Slug 6 and Dolphin Blue have been ported to the Dreamcast and are for sale on eBay etc. I don't want to modify my console in anyway so would these games work on mine without any issues? Any advice would be appreciated.

I've lost touch with the Dreamcast over the years, I may be totally wrong but iirc you can use a boot disc and swap out the boot disc with a backup or game of another region at that point.

My knowledge is patchy on it these days though.

Edit - So having a quick read these are far from official ports which you probably already know, but it's looking like as a result there won't be any form of region locks etc. funk2022-02-17 04:41:02

Pretty sure you only need a boot disc to play different region official games. I think all cdr will be region free.

I bought one of these to try out sometime. I'm hoping to run Atomiswave games from SD card. I haven't looked into it yet and was hoping somebody on here might have tried it?
