Hi
Im locked out of Mirc,ive tried to un-install but it just keeps kicking me,message is summat to do with throttle etc?
Help!! ive deleted all i can find of the Mirc files b4 i reinstall,should i use another E-Mail addy or summat?

install it again then download and install the revo uninstaller, its free and removes all trace of programs you choose to uninstall.

failing that switch to another client. i use trillian astra, which is an all in one client msn/aim/yahoo/irc etc.

i can point you in the direction of a download if need be, just pm me.

unless the reason is you've been temporary banned from irc like you say for throttling. if thats the case i can get you unbanned.

well i give up!!
tried all the above it just wont connect to enterthegame.com now.
just connects then disconnects arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
will try tomorrow on a fresh head.

Phil, what message are you getting on the disconnect? Is there another window popping up? Sometimes whenever you get a new IP address it can be one that's been reported as being a botnet or something (as used by whoever had that IP address before you got it). Happens to me most times my router gets a new IP, obviously a lot of BT users are very stupid...

Hi Dan,
It says my host is trying to connect to fast throttled,
then it just keeps trying over and over but wont connect,
im totally lost im afraid.

Hmmm, as Andy suggested maybe another IRC client is worth a go. I think you can change the reconnect retry settings in MIRC, maybe worth having a play around with those as well.
