One of my favourite ever arcade games. Always wonder abotu the colour of Mr. Do! though. I nearly always played it in arcades with the standard sort of weird orangey coloured Mr. Do! One time, though, an engineer came out to our local arcade and did some work on it and Mr. Do! was a lovely red colour. The whole game looked bettter because of what he did. I brought this colour thing up years later on an old MAME board and was told that no, he definitely was supposed to be an off red, almost orange colour. On your version he's the red colour I loved. What made the difference? I've added a screen shot of what I *think* he should look like - which is the colour he is when you run the rack test. You can see what I consider to be the wrong colour in the lives section. I'd love to know which is right. When the games working and you start a stage he goes briefly red before changing to that off red almost orange colour. I'm sure that it's a bug.

Great question. As far as Ive seen he should be red. He’s red on my board and all the other originals I’ve fixed

I do have options for custom colour palettes on this new board so in theory we could change him to any colour we want! Haha

Ok, a small update , the 5 assembled rev3 boards are all now sold and most of them were actually populated (ics) by me in the end so the design has been confirmed a few times independently and all is good. 1 thing is getting added to the rev4 board for better ground plane. I also have a nice solid list of ics that work good now with all the variation and speeds for ram etc all sorted.

So next will be rev4 and probably a run or 10 or so assembled boards. If you'd like in then leave a comment or dm me. Pricing i will update on

My board arrived today and it's amazing! now I need to get a suitably nice cabinet to go with it. I can definitely recommend buying one once the new revisions are ready!
