Hello all,

I finally bit the bullet and got myself a Japanese MVSU4 cabinet. It's in generally good condition, apparently everything works (it came without an MVS, but I have a few to try) although I'm yet at a point to test the electrics. Before I do anything I wanted to check what would be the best thing to do cleaning-wise?

Most of the problem areas are where the metal panels were connected. A few dents and scratches which I don't really mind, but I want to make sure it doesn't turn into a hunk of rust.

Should I paint it? Should I use some kind of rust product? Sanding? Or just wipe it clean??

Many thanks! I'm really looking forward to getting this one going :)

For the metal brackets and various metallic parts, shall I just sand the rust down? And then what? Surely it’ll need coating in something to ensure it doesn’t rust again, but I don’t want to paint it, I want to keep it the same as it was.

Sorry for the dumb questions!
