Caught up in the early days of eBay trading..
At the carboot I was handed a carryier bag from a gentleman when I asked about diecast cars .
I brought the whole bag to take home and have a rummage at home.
I already collected Britain’s stuff & I knew there was a tractor in there.
Not only was it tractor number 1
But in the bag was a mail away only trailer from 12 tokens from the first 12 Britain’s tractors released ..
It went crazy on the internet
But I let a guy from Portsmouth have it
He drove to my house and showed me photos of his late dads britains tractor collection that was missing no 1..
I cancelled eBay sale and let home have for a good price he paid me well
I wasn’t complaining.
He had been looking for no1 to complete his dads collection for 15 years and only ever saw 1 cab part come up for sale in France ..
Nobody around Europe even beloved the trailer was real …
All the toy car collectors thought I had faked it ..
Inthe same bag was another rare Lesney matchbox car
Rottinoff tractor grey wheels double wheel base variant £800
Some other few cars around £45 ish
Also from carboot … I got a neo Aes roddy & cathy for £20 in a random box of stuff!
My whole collection of toys and games has come from carboot sales
Amd trading up online

Bloody hell. I know the feeling please don't get me started on that. I went to a car boot fair back in the day and saw a guy selling Metal Slug 2 on the AES for £30 quid, I was just about to snap it up but another guy got there before me🤮, that one will always haunt me
I will do when I get home from work, most of my stuff is boxed up but I can show most of my Neo Geo collection if that's okay
