hi all..

Just thought i'd show this machine off since i just got it running.. the pcb was a monumental pain in the arse to fix, but i got there in the end.

Needs cosmetics now, and the monitor could do with a bit of tuning perhaps.

Apart from one leg baton missing on the bottom I thought the cab was in really really nice nick. I think novus will polish out those mild fag burns on the bezel - there's an article on marvin3m somewhere showing how to do it.

The sideart is really scratched up with lots of scrapes. It was also covered in a lot of plaster.. I'm touching in the art right now.

Yeh i'll get to the Novus job at some point too. But i dont liek the burny smell from the monitor :|

Given my limited

ability with pcbs (dont ask andy), I am pleased that I can contribute something
regarding your fag burns on the bezel.

I have fixed this on a several of my machines now with great effect. i.e no fag burns whatsoever ...

1) rub the effected area with a light wet sandpaper until the fag burns have almost gone;

Sounds drastic, but it isnt.

2) Apply novus3 with a cotton bonnet drill attachment on a low rev. setting drill. Keep the drill moving over the area in question.

3) With the brown marks now completely removed, apply novus 2 to get off the light scratches remaining as per 2.

If you try doing this by hand, you will be there forever (trust me, i know ...)

I have just finished doing an Astro Fighter using this method and it really is as good as new.
