Afternoon peeps,
I have a Generic Candy that I will soon be fitting out with some Naomi kit. so I wanted to make the cab a bit more branded on the outside and after speaking to Runkthepunk he said that there are a fair few Naomi owners that would like to spruce up their legs
and I have all the kit at home to do custom cut vinyl.......so I started looking at doing the full leg graphic and not just say a couple of logos (which is what I need). Fired off a message to MuddyMusic to see if he already had a vector in his swagbag of artwork and he did!
That saved me an evenings work so thank you Olly
As I have the Club Kart Naomi Universal I do not have the regular signage on the legs so another phone call to Runk to confirm what colour the stripe is and it turns out its orange chrome....something I have not got here
But I do have regular chrome!
So tonight I laid out the layers in Adobe illustrator and after tearing my hair out for an hour getting the blade set up sweet for chrome (with no snagging and tearing) I boshed out a nice test logo
Well chuffed so far with how they came out.....in case you cannot tell each letter is individually cut out and will then be applied to the machine in one piece using a vinyl transfer sheet....its basically like a massive roll of masking tape that you stick on top of the design then peel off the designs backing paper stick the design and transfer sheet onto the cab then peel away the transfer sheet (which has lower tack than the sign vinyl) leaving just the lovely chrome on the cab
So next step will be to order some orange chrome for the stripe and then I will be ready to cut both and that's the job done!
Thanks for reading
