I took a gamble buying this board, as it hadn't been running for nearly 20 years, but it looks in great condition.
Upon hooking it up to my jamma rig, sadly it didn't boot.
After probing the 68000, checking roms, enables etc..
I thought I may aswell attack some of the fajitsu's
After 2 hours on the cpu board, I was happy all is well on there, so I flipped it over and started on the fajitsu's on the lower board, one was bound to be bad right?
74LS04 at F13 was a simple inverter chip, so basically it flips the input from high to low or low to high on the output.
2 of the output pins were stuck and 1 was just showing nothing, so it looks like I found a bad chip. Popped a donor chip in (Never replace with fajitsu's) and to my amazement it booted straight up.
There is still no sound yet but I'm just happy it's living again, it's an awesome game.
