Hrm. kk ... cheers. :)

I can't find shit for those error messages online ... if they're even in English ... but it could be a thing where I don't know how to search for the right thing ...
!CSOSS! |AUC| !UESU!

What if a diag chip doesn't get past that?

Its all corrupt its just suppose to say ' Cross hatch test ' if you have the Upgraded bios something like this :-

rgTqfCB.jpg

You get the crosshatch when the game is not detected not cant boot. So i assume :_

1737292031962.png

That suppose to say ' Cross Hatch Test ' - I would also assume (You shouldn't !) this is more like a ram fault but impossible to diagnose from an image and without testing.

So if you look at the word ' UESU' replace the 2 U's with T's it becomes 'TEST', Same with the hatch.

Basically the board is fuffed and needs fixing.

Dave.

Just bring it round here anytime you want mate 👍
I will have a look at it ..

Has the battery been removed yet ?

All dips down run ram test
I got a diag bios here can see what’s up and look for bad traces on it for ya…

Does yours have a power jumper connector linking the pcbs ?
These are the older type .

also two diffrent sized 4 slots .

You need to remove the top metal cover
Pull the pcbs apart

check inside the cn10 large connector on bottom board if you see green little bits around the pins 😩. Not great corrosion has gotten underneath anyways bring it

Pretty sure neo replaced it ... but then ... I can't actually remember ... I'll check :) ... They did a lot of nice maintenance on it. (y)

Buhhhhhhhh .... OK ... will try.

I think I have one somewhere, too ...

Not sure, not that I remember ... but maybe it's fallen off? Is there a way to tell if it's the 'older type'?

Done that once, already, when I did a contact clean with lint free etc etc blah...
Not sure about the different size, mind ...

That much I should've known to say ... I was referring to earlier discussions around the harness stating that it's not JAMMA ... 🤷‍♂️ ... either way ... cheers. 🙂

Great offer from @Retroman839 !
Running the dish bios may be the way of making progress on this to find the fault. I Have a 6 slot here that is doing similar things to yours which I need to look at asap

Cheers, @Flyback2021 ... yeah ... I'll try to keep this thread updated (I'm terrible at that kind of thing, mind) ...

...
... and ... yeah ... @Retroman839 is a king!

...
My working theory is that the electrics at the house somehow rumbled it ... perhaps the room that it's in is on the same circuit as the microwave or something (I dunno) ... or I accidentally put a cart in the wrong way around or something ... so ... yeah ... ...

When you first plugged it in , Did you turn around clockwise twice and tap your head 3 times before powering up ??

This is a common cause of the issue you and @Flyback2021 are having.

If you didnt then do the above the opposite way around and this should reverse the issue,

Dave.

P.S You could sell me the machine at a cheap price to get rid of your Burdon and pain ?

It's crazy how often these boards play up.

I literally bought a working one just before Xmas and it was fine. Gave the sockets a clean with Deoxit and a toothbrush and now it will only boot to the blue cross hatch. Infuriating.

Similarly, I bought a glitchy one from here last week as a spare and it was half working on some slots. Cleaned with deoxit and now its doing nothing.

Need to dig out my diag chip and find the issue.

Is there any go to guys on here that fix these? I dont know if i have the patience to be frank and theres money to be made given half the forum is having problems with these!

I have around 30 to repair , Done a few over the years. Problem is 99% of the time they are ' Beyond Economical Repair ' I.E It would cost more to repair than to get a new one. I have a 6 Slot set to one side for @ChrisBEANS and he has been waiting a while for that (He is not is a rush luckily ! lol). It can take a while to find and repair faults , When you see the repair vids its only 5 minutes but in reality it can take day / week / years !

I would do them for people I just dont have the time,

Dave.

UPDATE:
The working one is back working. Seems it just needed more time for the Deoxit to fully dry out. I had used a heat gun until it had stopped dripping but in leaving it a few days stood upright, I can see that the Deoxit has dripped down and dried. All four slots working nicely now thank god!

The glitchy one I bought is 'working' as when I bought it again too. I've tested by swapping top board with bottom on the known worker and it is the top board giving me the issue. On closer inspection I can see that there are a few corroded traces so I can work on my soldering skills and jumper the broken traces. At the least I have a known working bottom board as a spare but will put out a wanted add for a top board. The Diagnostic chip 'Passes All Tests', so I assume this only tests the bottom board.

The 3rd board I have (NEO-MVH SLOT4FT) is partially working but the physical PCB is about 1-2mm larger than the other two 4 slots I have so I can't just swap boards and narrow the issue down to top or bottom board. Again the Diagnostic chip 'Passes All Tests' so I suspect the top board is the issue again.
Older type will have a power connector fitted on lower board ..

What REV is that board? I have MVH SLOT4 and MVH SLOT4FT boards but neither have this power connector. Is that a 6 slot maybe?

Nah 6 slot is bigger board

With power connector is the first 4 slot type . Just adds 5 v to back of the top pcb ..

You can check your 5v is good on your top pcb buy metering the 5v pins on the large cn connectors .

Yeh I have just added 8 traces got 2 more to go09D6A0B0-C469-4FC1-BFAD-812030829E9C.jpeg🤬

Check socket nearest leaky battery for green corrosion on the pins

Check continuity with Those pins to ic legs

And then with top board in place continuity from the top board to ic legs 👍….

Just uploading some pics of stuff I found yesterday ... this is the first batch.

Here there was lots of greeny stuff on the board in a number of places ... pre and post cleanse.
Plus, one scratch, which I don't believe has broken the traces.

I'm not sure if I took photos of the battery area post cleaning, but if not, it's a similar difference to the below.
