If I was threating to anyone they would know I don't hide behind a keyboard and screen I am quite happy to tell people straight 
Maybe I should write a blog on my website about all the goings on post up people's pm's etc.

OK, I've tried to keep out of this sillyness but I just can't - sorry!
Firstly, sorry to hear about Phil, J+'s loss is our gain eod.
Secondly, Kudos to Aran, you're sticking up for your forum and your mates and that's kewl. Why you couldn't just use your name is a bit beyond me but hey ho. You're very welcome here, in fact I'll go so far as to say it's nice to have you aboard.
Thirdly, coming here and threatening people however mildly or just by implication "I am soooo looking forward to meeting you in real life one day" is not cool and has been read as a threat by pretty much everyone on this thread. We can all be internet tough guys but what's the point really?
Ford vrs Vauxhall. These are commercial company's, UKVAC and J+ are internet forums for collectors of video games sharing largely the same audience because the UK is lets face it a small place in the VAC scheme of things. If you really feel the need to block the use of the term UKVAC on your forum that's fine. Makes you look like a bunch of arses in my opinion (and of many others), but that's your decision.
As the majority of people have said, there's no need for all the hate, we all just collect these dusty old wooden boxes with wiring and plastic in em that play some nice games. Moving on, as has been suggested is what I say we should all do. I really believe if there was ever to be another CGEUK type meeting where we all met up and had a few beers all this crap would disappear.
Finally in true Jerry Springer mode - a final thought. How long would your post(s) have lasted had one of the UKVAC admin guys joined J+ and posted stuff like you have Aran? I think everyone in the whole of the Video Arcade Collecting community knows the answer don't they...

P.P.S Luke's posts and ID are still here, he had another nick name before he changed it (arcadeukcom or something like that). ColinD must have joined the forum after the split from the mailing list and not posted anything (suspect that was right at the start of J+ days). We had a cull of all 0 post users over 2 years old a while back, he's still a member here, he must have rejoined after the cull. Dsyde is still a member and still active (last logged on yesterday), have to say he used to post a lot more than he does now. So pretty much, the J+ Mod/Admin gang are all here

Incidents like this though seriously make you think as to whether being
involved in any arcade community is really worth it. I've never come across anything like this on any other forums before (not necessarily all arcade related)
It is meant to be a fun hobby, to play some games, meet some people and have a good time

I had registered in 2007/08 and had around 20 posts on here, which have all now gone along with my account, you have members from 2001 still registered who have not signed in to 5 years but there accounts are still there, anyway I am not worried about it, I would have logged in as Aran but it had gone..

I am happy with the name I choose I find it a bit silly on a forum with no moderation I have been moderated and not been able to correct my typo's, but hey ho I won't lose any sleep...
Like I said earlier I will not tolerate people constantly sl*gging off J+ and it's admin/mod team on this forum (even all the little digs that appear every now and again), you yourself have wrote a silly FAQ aimed at us which I think it rather amusing really...

My final words, Aran you proceed on an incorrect assumption - this forum IS moderated as dictated by the Terms and Conditions laid down in our FAQ here. As you've potentially breached the rules several times in this thread that are laid down there I should have quarantines the entire thread. Obviously that would be a bit heavy handed, so I just blocked your edit ability to this thread whilst I consulted with the other Mods and the user who might have felt threatened by your posting.
I'm not 100% sure what FAQ you're referring to which is "aimed at you". The only reference I'm aware of is in how many of left (whether we wanted to or not) J+ because we found the over moderation (our opinion only of course) too restrictive. Anyway if you want to talk over that anymore drop me or any of the Admin guys a PM or email. By the by, although those FAQ's were posted by me, they were in fact written, checked and approved by the entire Admin team here.
