Hi,

Im just about to emabark on setting Mame up on a New Net City and just wanted to be sure about the hardware needed before I start buying the wrong things, and then having to buy the correct things.

Assuming I have the pc, video card etc Am I correct in reading that in order to get the pc to work with the Net City all I need to buy is the JVS-PAC 2 and connect the USB from the NNC into that and from that to the PC?

Then the VGA cable from the NNC into the PC graphics card, the Audio into the Audio connections, and leave the rest of the plugs in the back of the Net City loose?

Is it that simple?

Much appreciated for any help.

Added an image of the insides.

need to check your monitor resolutions

600x400 or 800x600 etc

also will you go 15 khz or 31khz

all options are dependant of your monitor
bring 15 /31 khz or both or even tri sync

mame will work right off the bat in 31khz

if you want 15 khz get a jpac and a graphics card to suit groovymame

and chunksins embeded windows 7 Retroman8392021-10-12 17:21:52

So how do I connect up the NNC control panel to the PC from what you have said, isnt that through JPAC as I outlined above?

It is a Tri sync monitor so assume all should be fine.

I was planning on installing groovymame onto relevant PC (win 10 though) and connecting to it through JPAC.

My concern was Im missing something in the process or going about it the wrong way with the setup.

It seemed too simple to just need to buy a JPAC and plug it all in.
