Hi UkVacr's!
I'm the lucky owner of an pretty much original Helifire Nintendo cocktail cabinet. I've been playing it for a while with no issues. Randomly turned it on and the game boots as normal but for some reason the second the sub appears it's now exploding as if it's been shot. There's no missiles or baddies on the screen, just start game, spawn submarine. Boom!
Did the obvious and checked the voltages which are fine. Judging by the card left in the cab, the Psu was changed back in 1984 for a switching one.
I did take the boards out very briefly to look at any unseated cables or loose eeproms but all seem fine. Also none of the eeproms had a cover over the window so was keen to get it back in the cab.
I know from my space Firebird days that these Nintendo PCBs are notorious. Where shall I start?
