Thanks, my main aim was just to see what happens after 4 levels, so I made the loop and then I think I did maybe 2 more levels, I wasn't going for any card order, it's not a great score really, it was the first day I had really tried out the game. I think I could do better and I am sure you'll beat it once you are set up

On mame i managed to get 29k last year and haven't played it since.
It does get harder to get the cards in order on the later lvls

it's a good game once you get the hang of it, I might try getting the cards in order, see if that helps my score
Also there are different difficulty settings where your fuel can run out a lot quicker but in MAME most of the the DIPS are listed as unknown, it's something that will have to be looked into although as more people play the game

I looked further in the DIP's; it needs to be decided which setting to use for scoring
(above was done on Easy),
For example Donkey Kong 3 and Mario Bros are set at Medium, however Popeye is set at Easy for Twin Galaxies scoring,
anyway here are some diagrams I made as it hasn't been properly documented before -
IMAGES UPDATED (18th July): it turns out this game has 8 difficulty levels!

It was interesting that you showed your DIP switches so I had a look at the difficulty you had it set on, interestingly it looked as if you had it on the hardest but I timed your fuel consumption and it lasted for only 16 seconds! (according to my diagram above)
That means you had it set on ultra hard which I didn't even know existed! it turns out DIP "M" which I have as a question mark above (soon to be edited) must be another difficulty switch and you have it switched on!
(Note - This is all if my DIP notes above are correct)
EDIT - Strange, actually maybe not all your DIPS match the MAME rom as it looks like your settings are for an extra life at 30k yet you clearly got a new life at 15k (DIP "N"), either way you still have it on ultra hard!

The rom set on my board is taken from mame so it should be the same.
Hopefully I will have my game up and running this weekend so I can play test some more and let you know.

Images above updated, this game has 8 difficulty settings! Also your fuel runs out quicker on your second life

Oh and I just found out there is a Twin Galaxies entry for this game and the DIPs are set to easy (off)

I was determined to beat the Twin Galaxies world record of 78,820, unfortunately i was short 610 points short - 78210 [/b](Edit: Screenshot updated below)
After 2 loops of the game the last level seems to just play over and over, crazy. OK, I Think I'll give this one a bit of a rest now seeing as I am just battling myself; fun and addictive game though

Ok so your playing on easy rich how many times did you loop to get 78k ?
Had a great evening roind at Alex's and got a fairly good score on the original PCB version of Sky Skipper... 50160
Need to confirm the DIPs this was set at on the board and then we can reset the score table accordingly... as not sure if this was set as Easy, Hard or Ultra Hard.
