Not taking pound coins

I have an 80s JPM special reserve on old coins was taking old pound coins but now there's a light on machine saying pound coins not excepted and they just fall though any ideas

Check there are enough 10p coins to fill above the ‘low’ sensor on the tube .. machine stops taking pounds while players are encouraged to play using 10p coins? To refill it slightly

You may be able cheat the low sensor light by lifting the sensor out of its slot and position it on a solid part of the 10p tube if you are low on big 10 coins?

If players use pounds and win small payouts it’s a way to protect against non payouts due to tube starvation
