[ukvac] OT: Video Fruit Machine
I've recently picked up a BWB Monti Carlo or Bust Video Fruit machine. Only
problem with it is, the coin mechanism won't accept coins. It's a Mars
ME115TS. One of the wires to the coin mech was cut, but re-joining it
hasn't fixed the problem.

Anyone know anything about these and could offer some advice to get it
working. A wiring diagram for the Mars mech or the complete machine would
be helpful if anyone has a copy or knows where to get one.

Cheers,
Steve

Steve,

I had one of these, and also a miami dice the same cabinet, have a look and
see if the lights where you put the coins in is lit, if not the coins have
been locked out, make sure all the door switches are working and closed,
could be a problem with the y shute at the top if it doesnt detect the coins
it will reject it, it may also have an inline fuse near the coin mech, I
have a manual for the miami dice but I dont think it has schematics.

if the routing plug is missing then it wont accept coins, they are
usually dangling just by the coin mech and there are usually 2 of
them (1 for mars 1 for sentinal) If you dont have one call BWB (dont
tell them you are a home user!) and they will usually tell / fax you
what pins to join.

When you say routing plug, do you mean the plug for the active seperator? My
fruit machine works with that removed, everything ends up in the 10p coin
box though.

some will some wont, whenever we get a machine that wont accept coins
its the 2nd thing we check (after the door switches)

just though there may be a circuit up need the coin chute before the
coin mech, if this is dirty it also wont accept coins, I think its
just a ldr type switch that must do some timing, they are a real pain
in the arse as they always need cleaning.

If the coin mech isn't seated properly then it also wont accept

Basically clean everything! people put all manor of shite into
fruities if there is fluff, fat, grease dust etc in the coin mech or
anywhere near then chances are the mech wont play, take it out
completely and take off the seperator and give it a clean and re-seat
it.

This makes no difference! Without a routong plug fitted, it WILL accept everything but will nominate everything down the same route!!

I work at bell fruit games. We make "MAZOOMA" fruit machines for them. I test them everyday and sometimes forget to put routing plugs in. It still accepts EVERYTHING! Just sends the coins down the wrong exit. Cant think what "MAZOOMA" machine your on about?

routing plug on one of those new mars mechs. out of interset do they
have problems with the psu's ?

Re: [ukvac] Re: OT: Video Fruit Machine
Yes we have had problems with p.s.u's. The "sanken" power supplies are ok, but if they do go down it's mainly due to dry joints on the p.c.b! The other power supplies we use are "stadium" p.s.u's. These are shit, to put it bluntly. They have dodgy regulators which can cause the machine to reset when the lamps come on. Can be the m.p.u, but quite unlikely. Hope that answers your question. Can't think what was wrong with your Pac man?

Regards John Foreman

P.S. Any other questions about B.F.G. Fruit machines welcome!!
