A T plate Capri 2.0 GL in black, but with some parts from the S/Ghia models thrown in. I got it with wages from working part time in a Tesco cigarette kiosk, from one of those dodgy sold as seen garages you used to see a lot more of years ago.

It actually was quite reliable too, did a head rebuild and a small amount of rust on the rear arches and that was it.

1974 Teal Blue Mini Clubman, closely followed by a tuned and abused 1971 Mini 1275GT (which I still own).

Re Tims story... hahaha I remember supergluing a mini sump plug back in after it came out complete with all the threads still attached, and 'quick fitting' a cv boot for an mot by cutting one down the middle and sticking it over the old one with silicone sealant. These days (as with arcade bodges) I've found that with tools and experience its usually almost as easy to do it the proper way.

R-reg Mk2 Ford Escort orange/red colour.
was gr8,bucket seats,weller wheels,big bore & twin webbers.

It looked like a Mexico,front splitter,rear spoiler.etc etc

engine was a 1300cc when i got it,but soon died,so i replaced it with a 1600cc X-flow.

had it for 2 yrs,and in that time i practically rebuilt it,suspension,brakes,engine components,fuel/brake lines.but i loved it.

I whish i had just garaged it after seeing how much they go for now, iirc i paid £480 which was loadddsa money!!prob worth well over 10k now.
