[ukvac] OT: XP assistance...
Sorry for OT post - but hey, I trust you lot (I think).
I'm running XP Pro, and have a shortcut in my Start, Program Files,
Startup File which pointed to an ".exe" file that sits on my "C"
drive. The intention being that when I switch on my PC this program
starts automatically. This has worked fine up till today when I
deleted a bunch of stuff and defragged my hardrive. The program is
still there (albeit upgraded), and works fine when double clicked,
and the shortcut is still in my startup file, pointing to the same
filename. But the PC now boots up into windows desktop. I've also
noticed a bunch of icons for various things have appeared in the
taskbar (bottom right) - could this be the issue?
Any help/suggestions appreciated (in computer-muppet speak if poss).
