Hello -

Would someone be able to grab a quick measurement of the diameter of one of the original bottom caster wheels on an OutRun deluxe cockpit? Mine were replaced at some point with casters even more under-spec'ed than the originals and are crushed.

I measured the casters on my After Burner commander model, and the wheel is 65mm, but the part number is different on OutRun - might be a 70mm?

Thanks!

the manual says wheel 65mm x 48mm

its hard to measure as tucked away underneath and not got my rags on so I will get filthy!

I will try again later and grab a plastic bag to protect my "glad rags"

visually diameter looks about 65mm, but width of tread of wheel is about 30mm

ok it was tricky to measure accurately but I am 90% sure its 65mm diamter as per manual

but if they are all finished then I presume you will part dismantle, flip the base and take a look and if you can't get the actual sega part then work out if your [ebay?] replacement will fit the mounting bolt holes etc?

Yep that's exactly my plan! Fortunately or unfortunately, the bases of both machines were poorly repainted so I'll have to disassemble them anyway to repaint the bases the proper colors. I can't actually physically move OutRun until I disassemble it and replace the casters :(

It looks like these should be the OEM part:

I'll give them a shot and report back.

EDIT: Corrected link - I was able to get a ruler into one of the handles to measure the hole spacing and the above link looks closer to the specs. Perhaps the original link with the smaller mounting plate is the part number difference in the Sega manual? I'll see if I can measure the mounting holes on Afterburner to compare.
