Postage from UK to USA

Has anyone got any top tips to do this cheaply? Royal Snail charge £35 to send 2kg, I reckon I could fly there on EasyJet for less.

If you can separate the parcel and send in 2 parcels if possible under 2kg each. Otherwise look at parcel monkey or parcels 2 go. Maybe be Europe only?
