I need some parts done mostly set of pinball legs side rails and lock down bar possibly coin door for another game, but it's textured finish black! I have a local powder coating place that does wheels etc but they never have that type of stuff so had a look on like but not sure how much I would need? was thinking of buying the stuff and giving it them to do? so found this place?

So if anyone knows about this stuff advice would be great

Cheers Ronnie

I'd ask them directly how much they'd need. they should also be able to order some in if your paying for it I would have thought.

For a powder coaters not to know anything about the different options isn't good, obviously if they mainly do car wheels they won't get asked for that stuff but surely someone would want the odd cam cover done in textured red or something, sounds like they should branch out a bit more and do more varied stuff

Sure they'll do a good job, it's no different what ever finish it has, I'm lucky ones near me do all sorts and cheap too

Pinball legs would probably cost me £10 to have powdered, it cost as much or more having the stuff blasted

Yes these guys are good and cheap plus only a spit from my house, he did say the legs etc wire fine texture but coin door was rough texture, I just told him to do it all the same, so for 2 side rails 4 legs coin door and frame lock down bar and back box hinges all for £40 not bad eh?

That don't sound to bad matey. Think how much It would cost you in spray cans, primer and top coat to do that yourself and the finish isn't as good and you have the hassle of doing it and unless you have a nice garage to use, well the weather is always sh*te to do it outside

yes it is good even thinking about the sanding of the rust etc the time a dirt involved never mind the cost of paint primer etc, I will post up the pics in the pinball thread when I get the bits back on Friday
